Day 10 – Approach Plates Kelly Householder NOTAM Psalm 139:13-14 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. Every approach plate is unique, often complex; every waypoint name different. We too are unique, often complex, different in our looks and our contribution to the body of Christ. God creates each of us with a purpose and a uniqueness. Take a look at any approach plate or fly enough IFR approaches and you soon realize that each approach and fix is unique. So too are each of us, our DNA, the way we look, the way we talk, even the way we approach a given topic. Approach plates and fixes are unique because the application is specific to the way the creator of the approach intended it to be. Apporaches have arduous hours invested into them. We know the person who created each approach checked and double checked every detail. Every aspect of the approach is validated for safety, aircraft performance, terrain, etc. You see, the approach plate has a purpose, and a mighty one at that; it not only guides the pilot, it is literally responsible for thousands of lives every day. Approach plates are essential to help airplanes, big or small, land safely in instrument conditions. God created you in a unique way. You are 100% unique and you were built for a purpose. Just like the creator of the approach, God looked at every aspect of your life, every hair on your head, every thought you would ever think and he built you for His purpose. Job 10:8 – “Your hands shaped me and made me.” It is easy to forget God empowers and fills us with the right stuff for our specific purpose. 5-T’s How are you using the following resources to live out 1 John 3:22, right now: Time: Talent: Treasure: Testimony: Tithe: NAVLOG: What is your purpose?
