NOTAM: (by James Mashburn) Galatians 5:22-26 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.”
Most pilots learn early in their training to memorize lists of items that should be present and operating in an aircraft before it can be flown. Galatians gives us a list of attributes that should be present and flowing out of our lives as we live by the Holy Spirit and in His constant presence. Are there items on this list that are not flowing from your life right now? Are we supposed to go out and find joy, peace, patience, kindness, and so on so that the Holy Spirit will be close to us, or do we get close to the Spirit and these things will be natural results of our walk with Him?
