NOTAM: “For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one who are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life.” 2 Corinthians 2:15-16

How many planes would you say you could recognize by how they smell when you climb inside the cockpit? I know every time I craw into a Piper, Beechcraft, or Cessna they have a unique aroma. It is quite possible to say that every plane has it’s own unique aroma, but then again, maybe my nose is just a bit over sensitive. As a pilot Jet A, and 100LL are other aromas you know the moment you smell them. On the taxi way behind a 737 you smell the aroma of Jet A being cycled through the pumps. Over prime your archer or 172 and you smell the aroma 100LL. Push too hard on the gas drains and overflow your catch cup, and now on your hand you once again get to smell that unique aroma.

What is your aroma to God? Do you smell sweet or bitter to Him? As we go about our day are we anointed with the Joy of the Lord? Are we walking in His way? Are we showing everyone around us his Love, or do we put off a bitter aroma that is hard to palet for those around us. “The fragrance of life”; I want to be someone who has the fragrance of life and I want to put off the aroma of Christ. We have all been around people who have such a great aroma of life and we have also been around the opposite. Which aroma do you prefer to be around? We should strive to be that aroma for our Wife, our Kids, our families, and the people we meet every day.

NAV LOG:  What can you do today, and everyday to have an aroma that everyone can recognize as an aroma of Christ?

PIREP: Lord help me to have a sweet sweet aroma to you. Let me have the aroma of Christ, and the fragrance of life in all that I do. Let all that I do be a blessing to you, with prayer and thanksgiving in all things. You are great and your love endures forever.
